Romanian Emergency Ordinance 19/2026 active: fuel commercial markups are capped at 2025 average levels during 1 April — 30 June 2026. This is why major networks (MOL, OMV, Lukoil, Socar, Gazprom) display a uniform nationwide price per brand. Real per-station variation remains at Rompetrol and independent stations. Romanian diesel-deduction calculator (ANAF)

A quick estimate of the tax deduction on diesel consumed by a company-owned passenger car or cargo van. The calculator uses the current national average diesel price (9.72 RON/L), aggregated live from our pipeline. Percentages reflect ANAF rules in the Romanian Tax Code: 50% for mixed-use passenger cars, 100% for cargo vans dedicated to goods transport.

Estimated results

Diesel cost / month
— RON
Cost / 100 km
— RON
Monthly deduction

Annual deduction
— RON

Indicative only. Verify with your accountant before using these figures in a tax return.

How it works

The formula is simple: monthly_cost = (km/month) × (consumption/100) × diesel_price, then deduction = monthly_cost × percent. Percentages are set by ANAF in the Romanian Tax Code:

For full 100% deductibility, the vehicle must be marked as exclusively used for the economic activity, with documentation (logbooks, contracts) proving the use. ANAF can request evidence during audits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ANAF diesel deduction percentage?

50% for company passenger cars used mixed (personal + business), 100% for cargo vans dedicated exclusively to goods or paid passenger transport. Source: Romanian Tax Code, art. 298.

Where does the diesel price come from?

The live national average, aggregated from 1,500+ stations through our pipeline, refreshed every 2 hours. For long-period projections, use the monthly index.

Does the calculator account for VAT?

The deduction percentages (50% / 100%) apply identically for VAT on diesel invoices. The calculator shows generic savings; verify with your accountant if the company is VAT-registered.

Is this enough for an ANAF tax return?

No. The calculator is indicative, useful for budgeting. A tax return requires real receipts/invoices (with the company's name) and the specific ANAF forms (D300, D394, etc.).
