Romania monthly fuel-price index
Monthly average of standard gasoline, standard diesel and LPG prices in Romania for the last 60 months (subject to historical availability). The table is intended for journalists, analysts and researchers: figures refresh daily, and the full dataset can be downloaded under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (/en/dataset, Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19560194).

How it is computed
For each calendar month:
- All daily mean prices in
preturi_zilnice(our end-of-day pipeline snapshot covering 1,500+ unique stations, aggregated through a local median filter) are collected. - The arithmetic mean of daily mean prices for that month is computed.
- Extreme outliers were already removed at the daily-snapshot level via strict bounds (gasoline 7.9–10.5 RON/L, diesel 8.0–11.5 RON/L, LPG 3.8–4.7 RON/L) and a local median filter.
Months with fewer than 5 days of data are shown as "—" to avoid means calculated on too few observations. Full pipeline documentation: /en/methodology.

Frequently asked questions
How is the monthly mean computed?
Arithmetic mean of daily mean prices reported for each calendar month, across 1,500+ stations. Outliers are removed via strict bounds and a local median filter.
Why are some months or fuel types missing?
For months before platform launch (January 2026) the data comes from partial archives, so coverage may be limited. Months with fewer than 5 days of data show "—".
Can I use this table in an article?

How do I reproduce these numbers offline?
Download the full CSV from /en/dataset (preturi_zilnice.csv), group by calendar month (substr(data, 1, 7)) and average the pret_mediu column. Same SQL used on this page.
