About the prices on PretCarburant.ro
How the platform works
PretCarburant.ro collects fuel prices every two hours from 15 different sources. Some data comes directly from major networks (Petrom, OMV, Rompetrol, MOL, Lukoil, Socar, Gazprom), some from the official Competition Council API, and the rest from independent stations and user reports. At the end of each cycle we have a single snapshot with over 1,500 active gas stations, spread across all 41 Romanian counties plus Bucharest. That entire dataset goes into a memory cache that powers the page you are reading right now — no manual refreshes, no stale data.

Why you can trust our data
No collected price reaches the page directly. Every data point first passes through outlier filters with manually calibrated thresholds, followed by cross-source validation and progressive geo-matching with increasing radii from 200 to 800 metres between the reported address and GPS coordinates — to catch stations where the official address does not exactly match the physical location.
That said, the price at the pump is always the final truth. Verify before you fill up. If you spot a discrepancy, write to corectii@pretcarburant.ro; we correct any reported error within a maximum of 2 working hours and re-run the aggregation cycle for that station.

What's OUG 19/2026 and why are network prices uniform?
OUG 19/2026 (Official Gazette 237 of 26 March 2026) caps the commercial markup at 2025 average levels for 1 April β 30 June 2026. During this window, major networks (MOL, OMV, Lukoil, Socar, Gazprom) display nationwide brand-uniform prices. Real per-station variation persists at Rompetrol and independents.
