To put things into perspective, if you fill a 50-liter tank with 95 octane gasoline, you will pay an average of 507 lei. An equivalent LPG fill-up (considering density and different consumption) would be much cheaper, offering a significant reduction in immediate costs.

It is a reality that a car running on LPG will have a slightly higher consumption, in liters, compared to gasoline. Experience shows us that this increase generally varies between 15% and 20%. For example, if your car consumes 7 liters of gasoline per 100 km, on LPG the consumption could reach somewhere between 8 and 8.4 liters per 100 km.

This increase in consumption is a consequence of the lower calorific value of LPG compared to gasoline. However, even with this increase, the significant price difference between the two fuels keeps LPG as a much more economical option, as we will see in the calculation below.

This saving of over 33 lei for every 100 kilometers traveled is substantial and adds up quickly, especially for drivers who cover long distances.

The cost of an LPG system varies considerably, depending on the type of car, the complexity of the system, and the chosen service center. With savings of over 33 lei per 100 km, a driver who covers, for example, 20,000 km per year would save approximately 6,600 lei annually.
