Daily email summary, 07:00 Romania time
If you cover fuel prices regularly, we send a morning email with national averages, the change against the previous day and against 30 June, the cheapest prices in the country including station and town, averages for major cities, county extremes and the Brent quote. It includes a paragraph written so it can be quoted directly.

These may be quoted as they stand, attributed to Andrei Stoian, founder of PretCarburant.ro. For a quote on a specific angle, write to us — we reply the same day.
"Since the price cap was lifted on 30 June, diesel has risen by 1.73 RON per litre and petrol by 1.36 RON. On a 50-litre tank, that is roughly 86 RON more for diesel."

Methodology
So you can explain the figures in your article, here is exactly how they are produced:
- The national average is the plain arithmetic mean of every valid reported price for a fuel at the time of reading. It is not volume-weighted — a small station counts the same as a large one.
- Frequency: data refreshes several times a day. The figure on this page is the most recent reading, not a daily mean.
- Outlier filtering: prices outside 5.50–12.00 RON (petrol), 5.50–13.00 RON (diesel) and 2.50–6.00 RON (LPG) are excluded, as are "premium" prices reported below standard ones at the same pump.
- "Lowest price" is searched only above a floor of 80 % of the average (70 % for LPG). Without that floor, a single reporting error would become "the cheapest fuel in the country".
- Live average vs. the historical chart: the figures above are the live reading. The historical chart uses a daily series recorded at a fixed hour, before secondary sources are merged in. The two can differ by a few bani on the same day — they are different measures, not a contradiction. Use the historical series to compare days; use the live reading for "what it costs now".
- Coverage: stations without validated geographic coordinates are excluded from aggregates.

About the platform in three lines
PretCarburant.ro is an independent fuel-price comparator for Romania, launched in January 2026 and run by a solo founder. It covers 1709 unique stations across all 41 counties plus Bucharest, with dedicated pages for ~440 localities. Data is reconciled several times a day from official sources — ANPC Price Monitor, the Competition Council UAT API, the direct SOCAR feed — and published under CC-BY 4.0 (Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19560194).
